The Change Must Begin With Us

Lately it has been my goal to refrain as much from watching the news, as it has been to reduce the amount of social media interaction that I have.

There is so much going on around us and so many different perspectives and opinions on what needs to occur for circumstances to change.

Something that I have learned is that instead of being so quick to make suggestions or to provide commentary on situations, let’s make sure that we are not part of the problem ourselves.

How can we say that we promote unity and walk in integrity, but we use social media as a means to air out our grievances or “call someone to the carpet?”

How can we say that generational strongholds end with us, but we continue to allow ourselves to remain connected to those things of old (e.g. past mindsets, patterns of behaviors, toxic relationships, etc)?

How can we offer our thoughts and suggestions on what changes need to occur in our homes, communities and the nation as a whole, if we don’t live a life surrendered to Christ?

It’s when we are in alignment with God’s will for our lives, that the changes we desire to see can begin in US first. It is then that we can walk as those new creations in Christ; amplifying, strengthening and giving meaning to the life that has been given to us; along with the privilege we have acquired as the salt of the earth.

We also can’t be the light of the world and assist in helping others, if we are what impedes our light from shining.

Today and in the days that follow, the change we want to see, must FIRST begin in US!!

Be Blessed My Encouragement for Your Journey Family!!
